taxisite Inc., (hereafter, “the Company”) complies with the Personal Information Protection Law and other related laws, regulations, and guidelines and takes stringent care as described below with regards to customer personal information used by the Company in the provision of services. Furthermore, although policies pertaining to each service provided by the Company are based upon the provisions of this policy, said agreements for each service shall take precedence if and when the provisions specified therein differ from this privacy policy.
- 1. Basic Objectives
- The Company collects data from all those who use TAXISITE within the scope required for the smooth operation of the service provided on TAXISITE. Collected data will be used appropriately within the scope given by objectives for its use.
- 2. Collection of Personal Information
- (1) Information provided by the customer
- Name, postal code, address, phone number, date of birth, sex, email address, etc.
- (2) Data acquired in connection with use of the service
- Information related to subscriptions to email newsletters etc. sent by the Company.
- Information concerning statements or the contents of records made when the customer: asks questions of the Company or a taxi operator; participates in surveys or promotions; uses an electronic bulletin board; evaluates the service(s); or otherwise communicates via telephone, electronic mail, or other means.
- (3) Information acquired automatically at the time of access
- Information concerning the IP address used when the customer’s computer connects to the internet and information that identifies the type of device used.
- Information acquired at the time the customer accesses the website operated by the Company, such as the type of browser used and its version, the operating system, the platform, and other such information as well as the pages (URLs) accessed by the customer, the date and time these are viewed, the products displayed or searched for, and other such information.
- In addition to the above, information that is automatically collected and stored each time the customer uses TAXISITE services, such as access information acquired via such means as cookies.
- 3. Purposes for Use
- The Company will use customer personal information it has acquired for the purposes given below (hereafter, “Purposes for Use”).
- (1) When the customer uses the Company’s service(s)
- For the automatic display of member information for the purpose of increasing the convenience of TAXISITE during the provision of services or operation of systems.
- To give notice to the customer about official announcements, site maintenance, or important notifications.
- For delivery of advertisements.
- For procedures to contact customers during the course of travel sales services, to arrange travel services provided, and to issue receipts for services.
- (2) Execution of transactions provided by the Company
- For procedures involved in the provision of services or the shipping of products that have been purchased from the Company.
- (3) Responding to inquiries from customers
- To respond to inquiries sent to the Company by the customer via email, mail, phone, or other means.
- (4) Understanding usage conditions
- In addition, the Company will correct or revise a customer’s personal information or discontinue its use if a request to do so is received from the customer and upon confirmation of the requestor’s identity. However, this provision will not apply for the correction, revision, or discontinuance of use of information such as that acquired automatically and for which identification of the individual to which it is associated is difficult.
- 4. Understanding of Site Usage Conditions
- TAXISITE uses Google Universal Analytics to understand the status of usage of the site. Universal Analytics collects customer information using cookies. The access information collected helps the Company understand usage status statistically and accumulate knowledge over time in order to improve the usability of TAXISITE. Please see below for Google’s Privacy Policy and for the method by which you may disable Universal Analytics.
- 5. Delivery of Advertisements

When advertisements distributed by third parties are displayed on TAXISITE, said third parties acquire and use the cookie information of customers who have visited TAXISITE in order to display appropriate advertisements. Cookie information acquired by said third parties is handled in accordance with said third parties’ privacy policies. Customers may discontinue the use of cookie information for the distribution of advertisements by said third parties by accessing the Opt-Out pages (where cookie functionality may be disabled) provided on third party websites.

* A “cookie” is a mechanism by which information generated when a customer views a website is stored on the customer’s computer as a file. TAXISITE uses cookies primarily for the improvement of the site and to automatically display member information.
Customers may disable cookie functionality in their browser settings; however, please be aware that rejecting all cookies may prevent you from logging into user accounts and may limit your ability to use various services on the internet.
- 6. Limitations to Use and Availability
- The Company will not itself use or provide to any third party any collected information for purposes other than the Purposes of Use given above unless it has received a lawful request for disclosure; unlawful behavior has occurred such as unauthorized access or the making of threats; or other specific reasons require it. However, the Company may make public access information or user attribute information for TAXISITE that has been statistically processed.
- 7. Security Measures
- The Company implements measures required for the appropriate management of information collected, such as measures for the prevention of leakage, destruction, or alteration of information.
- 8. Verification of Personal Information
- If the Company receives a request from a customer for the disclosure, correction, discontinuance of use, or deletion of their own personal information, the Company shall fulfill this request upon confirmation of the customer’s identity. Please submit requests via the contact information given below. Additionally, please note that the Company may be unable to accept requests for verification etc. for reasons specified in the Personal Information Protection Law.
Please purchase a postal money order for ¥300 as a handling fee and enclose it together with documents corresponding to the items given below. These may be submitted to our customer service address. (Please note that we are unable to accept payments on delivery. We apologize for any inconvenience.)

- 9. Disclaimer
- The Company is not involved in the management of customer IDs or passwords. Unless you take due care, your ID and password may be used by a third party to view the personal information you have registered in your account. We ask that you handle your usage of our services and your account responsibly and take precautions to avoid misuse or unauthorized use by a third party.
